No Cost Doula Support for pregnancy, birth and parenthood
If you plan to deliver at a Southcoast Health hospital and have qualifying insurance such as MassHealth, a certified Flourish Care doula can join your care team at no cost.
What is a doula + how they help?
While doulas are not medical professionals, they are part of your care team and work alongside your doctors, midwives and nurses. There are two types of doulas; a birth doula and a postpartum doula.
A birth doula helps you prepare for birth and postpartum. They are also present during labor and delivery to support and advocate for you.
A postpartum doula helps you and your family prepare for birth and postpartum. After birth, they help you adjust to life with a newborn.
You can also text with your dedicated expert 24/7.

What our Flourish families are saying
“If you want to feel like you have someone in your corner during your birth experience, I would 100% recommend having a doula. My doula had my interests in mind during the whole labor process and knew the kind of labor and delivery I wanted. Having her by my side gave me strength to speak up, took pressure off me and she made the whole birthing process so much easier. I couldn’t have done my third labor without her.”
