A doula is a trained professional who provides continuous emotional, physical, and informational support during pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period. Doulas are not medical providers and don’t replace your OB/midwife; they complement your clinical care.

Text/call your doula as soon as you think labor may be starting or any time you need reassurance—they begin remote support immediately. In early labor, they coach you (and your partner) on positions, comfort measures, and timing; once you’re in active labor, they meet you in person at home or your birth place per your plan. They remain with you through birth and the first hours postpartum.

For non-urgent questions, contact [email protected] or 844-401-BABY Mon–Fri [9:00 AM–5:00 PM EST]. For urgent birth questions, reach your assigned doula directly via text/call. For emergencies, call 911 or your Labor & Delivery unit.

Prenatal and postpartum visits are delivered via a mixture of telehealth and in-person care for convenience. Birth support is in person; if you’re out of area or prefer virtual, we provide continuous remote support. Check eligibility by ZIP code and insurance.

Prenatal visits cover your birth preferences, roles for your partner, comfort techniques, early-labor game plan, and navigating hospital policies. Postpartum visits focus on recovery, feeding support, mental health check-ins, newborn care, and community resources—tailored to your goals.

Yes—you can cancel anytime via your client portal or by emailing [email protected].

Your doula helps you prepare a gentle-cesarean plan, explains what to expect, and supports decision-making. If hospital policy allows, they provide in-person support before/after surgery and help with immediate postpartum bonding, feeding, and recovery strategies.

No problem—just request a rematch in your portal or email us, and we’ll prioritize a new match based on availability and your preferences. We expedite rematches for approaching due dates.

We use your stated preferences (language, schedule, experience, cultural fit, etc.) to match you with the best-fit doula; while we can’t guarantee every preference, we get as close as possible. You can always request a rematch if your needs change.
