About Shauna

As a mother of four and a full-spectrum doula serving families in Massachusetts, I show up in birth work with lived experience, cultural awareness, and a deep commitment to Black and Brown reproductive justice. I understand firsthand the beauty and the challenges of pregnancy, birth, and postpartum—especially for Black and Brown birthing people navigating a system that has too often failed us.

Massachusetts continues to reflect the national crisis: Black and Brown women here are more likely to face poor birth outcomes, less likely to be heard, and more likely to experience medical neglect. My work as a doula exists in direct response to this reality.

I provide care that is rooted in cultural connection, advocacy, and emotional safety. Whether I’m offering labor support, postpartum guidance, loss care, or fertility nurturing, my priority is always to honor the whole person—not just the clinical process.

As a culturally competent doula, I support families with empathy, knowledge, and reverence for our ancestral traditions. My practice is shaped by listening, respect, and the belief that every Black and Brown family deserves to be seen, heard, and empowered at every step of their reproductive journey.

You don’t have to navigate this alone. I’m here to walk with you.
