My name is Raquel Sims, and I am a certified Community-Based Doula; certified with NJDLC Health Connect; & an approved provider with New Jersey Medicaid!

I have been supporting expecting moms & families for many years, & my passion is holistic health; I approach care from the perspective that mind, body, and spirit all work together. Through this lens, I strive to ensure that everyone I work with feels empowered, informed, and fully supported in their journey through pregnancy, birth & postpartum.

Your covered support includes so much!
We’ll start with a 90 minute prenatal meet & greet appointment to discuss the birth & postpartum experience you want. Then, we’ll be able to have seven more 60 minute support appointments during pregnancy & postpartum to help with these topics & more:

- Birth & baby preparation
- Mental & emotional support & general concerns or questions
- Newborn care & sleep consultations
- Breastfeeding or bottle-feeding support
- Your postpartum recovery
- Local resources & guidance for anything else you’re facing

Birth Support:

On-call status from 38 weeks until you have your baby!
Early labor support through text, phone calls or video calls
Hands-on guidance during active labor through birth until 1-2 hours after you have your baby
