About Dawn
Dawn Fuentes-Holgate, M.Ed., M.S., C.A.G.S Full Spectrum Doula | Mental Health Provider | Birth Equity Advocate
I’m a trauma-informed, full spectrum doula offering compassionate support across birth, postpartum, lactation, childbirth education, and perinatal loss. With over 20 years in mental health counseling and holistic care, I specialize in holding space for emotional wellness, informed choice, and culturally responsive advocacy. My practice blends clinical insight with sensory rituals, storytelling, and intergenerational wisdom—creating safe, healing-centered experiences for every stage of the reproductive journey.
I hold advanced degrees in Counseling Psychology, Organizational Leadership, and Mental Health, and have served as a therapist, educator, and advocate in diverse settings—from elder services and community health to higher education and trauma-informed workshops. My services as a doula are shaped by this rich foundation: I offer compassionate, trauma-aware support for birth, postpartum, miscarriage, and fertility journeys, with a focus on emotional wellness, informed choice, and radical presence. Whether supporting a first-time parent, a grieving family, or an elder reclaiming their birth story, I meet each client with empathy, expertise, and unwavering respect.
Outside of birth work, I find joy in cultivating beauty and balance—whether through travel that expands my perspective, tending to my garden and whimsical fairy gardens, or crafting aromatherapy products that soothe the senses and honor ancestral wisdom. These passions infuse my doula practice with creativity, grounding, and a deep reverence for nature’s rhythms. Every journey I support is held with care, intention, and a touch of charm and grace.
