About Johany

Hi, my name is Johany. I’m a prenatal and postpartum doula with a strong background in mental health, peer support, and community care. I’m currently a psychology student and also a Community Health Worker, Certified Recovery Peer Advocate, and Family Peer Advocate. This allows me to support families not only emotionally, but also by helping them navigate resources, systems of care, and community support.

I became a doula because I truly believe no one should feel alone during pregnancy or the postpartum period. I support clients emotionally, physically, and practically, especially those experiencing stress, anxiety, postpartum mood changes, recovery, or major life transitions. I take a trauma-informed, judgment-free approach and focus on meeting people where they are.

My goal is to create a safe, supportive space where you feel heard, respected, and empowered. I’m passionate about advocacy, education, and helping families feel confident and supported during one of the most important times of their lives.

Your Birth Doula Support Package includes:

A doula to help you and your family ease into early parenthood.

A 60 or 90 minute virtual prenatal meet & greet appointment to discuss the birth and postpartum experience you want.
Support Appointments during pregnancy and postpartum to cover the following topics:
- Birth + baby preparation
- Newborn care and sleep consultation
- Breastfeeding or bottle-feeding support
- Your postpartum recovery
- Connect you with local resources and answer any other questions
Birth Support to include:
- On call status from 38 weeks until you have your baby
- Early labor support through text, phone calls or video calls
- Hands on support during active labor through birth until 1-2 hours after you have your baby or hands on support through a cesarean birth until 1-2 hours after you have your baby
- Chat support with your doula through the HIPAA compliant app Healthie
