About Derricka

My name is Derricka Stone. I studied psychology in college and I enjoy interacting and learning about people. I especially love working with newborns. I was a babysitter/nanny for four years and in that time, I have met amazing families and wonderful kids along the way and I hope to continue that journey through becoming a Doula. I am a Doula because not only do I enjoy working with babies but I also love learning from them and growing with them as well. I also come from a big family so I know how fortunate it can be to have a genuine and compassionate shoulder to lean on when times get hard especially for mothers and families who are also starting a journey of their own. My hope is to help ease and maybe even guide families on their path.

Your Birth Doula Support Package includes:

A doula to help you and your family ease into early parenthood.

A 60 or 90 minute virtual prenatal meet & greet appointment to discuss the birth and postpartum experience you want.
Support Appointments during pregnancy and postpartum to cover the following topics:
- Birth + baby preparation
- Newborn care and sleep consultation
- Breastfeeding or bottle-feeding support
- Your postpartum recovery
- Connect you with local resources and answer any other questions
Birth Support to include:
- On call status from 38 weeks until you have your baby
- Early labor support through text, phone calls or video calls
- Hands on support during active labor through birth until 1-2 hours after you have your baby or hands on support through a cesarean birth until 1-2 hours after you have your baby
- Chat support with your doula through the HIPAA compliant app Healthie
