About Shelby
Hello! My name is Shelby Sousa and I am a certified postpartum doula. I currently live in a small town in Massachusetts with my husband and two children. I have always loved babies and being able to work with newborns is such a rewarding experience!
I have a very calm and easy going personality and will be there to ease your nerves, support your decisions, and provide evidence based advice if asked. It is important to me to have open communication with my clients in order to ensure all of your needs are met and questions are answered.
My goal is to support you through your birth recovery as well as offer guidance in infant care, provide emotional support, and ensure a smooth transition into parenthood. The days after birth are exciting, but they can also be a little daunting, so I want to be there to support you in any way that I can.
It takes a village to raise children and I am excited to have the opportunity to be a part of yours!
Your Postpartum Support Package includes:
A doula to help you and your family ease into early parenthood.
- A one hour initial appointment (virtually or in person) to discuss your postpartum experience, develop a care plan and schedule your appointments.
- Additional home visits during postpartum scheduled as eight 3 hour appointments to cover the following topics:
- Newborn care and sleep consultation
- Breastfeeding or bottle-feeding support
- Your postpartum recovery
- Light Housework
- Connect you with local resources and answer any other questions
- Unlimited chat support with your doula
- Virtual webinars + educational emails
