About Valerie

Valerie Lamour has been working with families for over 15 years. She has cared for children of all ages and has served in a doula role for many including friends and family. She most recently worked with first time parents as a parent educator and is ready to take that passion to the next level. Valerie is very passionate about supporting new parents and caring for families. She has much experience caring for newborns and children of all ages. She is attuned to the needs of parents and is ready to support them in any way she can. Valerie is certified with Birthing Advocacy Doula Training as a Full Spectrum Doula.

Valerie believes that birth and these first weeks in parenthood are always the most challenging and parents need support than more than ever during that time. She believes that everyone deserves the right to positive and fulfilling birthing and postpartum experiences and is eager to support families on this journey. She is also passionate about working with infants and finds much fulfillment and joy in caring for them.

Valerie is an advocate of parents’ right to safe and satisfying birthing experiences, and wants to help parents fully understand and feel good about every step of the journey. She is a committed to giving all of herself to every family she works with and is eager to continue this amazing journey with people in her community.

Valerie lives in Brockton with her family and beagle Lucy.

Your Postpartum Support Package includes:

A doula to help you and your family ease into early parenthood.

A one hour meet & greet appointment (virtually or in person) to discuss your postpartum experience, develop a care plan and schedule your appointments.
Four 90 minute appointments + one 60 minute appointment of additional support during pregnancy and postpartum (virtually or in person or both) to cover the following topics
- Newborn care and sleep consultation
- Breastfeeding or bottle-feeding support
- Your postpartum recovery
- Connect you with local resources and answer any other questions
Unlimited text support with your doula
Virtual webinars + educational emails

*When booking your first appointment, please book at least 24 hours in advance. Some of our doulas may have same day appointments listed but they would not have enough time to prepare for your appointment without at least a 24 hour notice.

This package does not include birth support.

*Once matched with a doula, your spot is not secure until you book your first appointment. If this appointment is not booked within 7 days of being matched, the doula match is subject to change.
